Tesla offers self-service test drive of its popular models

If you want to try out a Tesla before purchasing, but you don't want to go through all the phases leading up to the purchase, the American manufacturer has the solution for you. Indeed, sometimes we just want to test drive a vehicle without going to a dealership potentially far away, speaking with an advisor and then scheduling the test drive in question.

Self-service testing

Tesla wants to simplify testing of its most popular models, Model Y And Model 3by offering self-service tests, without the need to meet a salesperson or go to a dealership.

The service, available since October 31 in France, is not completely devoid of social links however. To discover this new experience, you must book a test, via the Tesla website or its mobile application and opt for “Remote test”.

You can then choose a date, a time and a starting point, among the ten currently offered (list at the end of the article). To confirm, you must provide your email address as well as your telephone number on which a Tesla advisor will call you to confirm the appointment and explain the procedure.

Simplified handling

The solution proposed by Tesla is not only to facilitate the testing of its cars, it is also a way of not needing to install a sufficient network of dealerships in France. Thus, most of the selectable locations are far from these advice and sales locations, which avoids potentially traveling many kilometers just to test drive a car.
