Moulinex launches an extraordinary multicooker-airfryer
Moulinex recently launched a new Cookeobut also another multicooker under the name Multicook & Fry. We will also be able to see a certain resemblance between the two models, and even more with the previous Cookeo since the last one changes a little in design, but the Multicook & Fry relies on different cooking modes. As its name suggests, it offers a frying mode which is lacking, natively at least, in the star of multicookers.
One more mode, but another less
The new Moulinex multicooker promises more precisely to fry without oil, but with hot air thanks to a resistance and a fan hidden in its lid. And as with any oil-free fryer or almost any fryer, several programs are provided to guide the user in the discovery and use of this cooking method which is reminiscent of the rotating heat of an oven. A program for cooking like in the oven is also offered. It comes with programs for frying of course, but also for grilling, dehydrating, and for preparing crispy meals by combining steam and frying.
Because the Multicook & Fry is indeed also a multicooker, with a second resistance integrated under the tank and several programs, for steam cooking, but also for cooking rice or cereals, simmering, browning and boiling. No pressure cooking on the other hand. It's a shame, especially since Moulinex offers multicookers with pressure cooking and air frying via the addition of a lid: the Cookeo, but also the Turbo Cuisine which, in its Fry version, also offers a capacity of 7.6l. The Multicook & Fry offers a 6l tank, like the Cookeo which nevertheless has another major advantage: a screen to display recipes.
The Multicook & Fry is therefore certainly not the most interesting multicooker from Moulinex, but it is one of the most affordable. It was launched at the recommended retail price of €199 and is already available at €149 at several resellers. This is obviously also an argument to take into account, but let's not forget the competition and in particular the Foodi Max OP300EU And Foodi Mini OP100EU of Ninja with their two lids, also regularly stored.
