Photo competition with Nikon / Photo Answers: night photography (€2100 prize)

As the days get shorter and shorter, we have chosen to push you to your limits with this new competition focused on night photography. The idea is to force you to compose at a time when light is rare, and therefore precious. During each competition that we have organized for three years, you have proven to us that great creativity comes from constraint, and we therefore expect a lot from this competition.

As part of this theme, all genres are accepted, from portrait to landscape, including urban photography and why not macro. Need a little inspiration? We invite you to watch the work of the masters who have made the night their favorite playground. The Paris of Brassaï or the Prague of Josef Sudek or even the suburban neighborhoods of Todd Hido are good examples. In more recent works, the night trails by the Frenchman Alexis Berg, or the portraits staged by Julia Fullerton-Batten particularly struck us in the editorial office.

We give you a little time to express your imagination, the files must be submitted by January 12, 2025. Small details: we of course authorize the use of flash, but also retouching and the practice of American night. And as we must often remember, this competition is obviously free, open to all and not reserved for owners of devices from the partner brand (this criterion never comes into play). As usual, there is no limit to the number of images you can send us. We still recommend that you do not exceed ten images. The form allows different submissions at the same time. The file size limit is 10 MB. Only images
in Jpeg are accepted.

The competition is open until January 12, 2025. The results will be announced in issue 378 (which will be released on March 6, 2025) of Responses Photo and on The Digitals.

Images generated entirely or partially by artificial intelligence are prohibited and you must have the necessary permissions for publication. By your participation, you authorize Responses Photo, Nikon and Les Numériques to use your image strictly within the framework of announcing the results of the competition in the magazine, on the website and the brands' social networks.
