Gemini offers its application for iPhone
One more step to increase the popularity of its artificial intelligence. Google obviously offers access to its AI on devices equipped with its operating system, Android, and even makes it its personal assistant by default. On competing models, namely the iPhone, the tool now offers a dedicated application.
Until now, iOS terminal users were not deprived of Gemini. They could still already use it, through a hidden tab in the Google application, also including access to Discover or the Lens search tool. These lengthy manipulations are now history, since Gemini appears today on the Apple App Store. Even though Apple Intelligence is still awaited in France as in most non-English speaking countries, Google is offering an alternative to Cupertino's AI functions even before they are available on your iPhone.
In terms of features, nothing new under the sun. The application includes what Android terminal owners can already use, such as the possibility – admittedly recent – of conversing with the assistant via the Gemini Live functionwhose voice is also customizable. The AI also offers help in writing emails or messages, is able to search for information in applications such as Gmail or Maps, responds to queries expressed in natural language or provides additional information from photos that the user submits. In short, Google is placing its pawns in the competing ecosystem: at least this allows iPhone owners to use the service they like.
