Cybercab: Tesla’s Robotaxi is on display in Paris
Tesla's priority is now set on fully autonomous driving. The brand recently presented prototypes of its future Robotaxis Cybercab and Robovan, but which should only arrive on the roads in 2026, in the event that the deadlines announced by Elon Musk are exceptionally met.
Soon in Paris, but not on the road yet
Before that, Tesla offers to meet its Cybercab, this small two-seater coupe without steering wheel or pedals. It will be exhibited across the four corners of the European continent over the coming weeks, with a stop planned in France, in Paris. The Cybercab will be present at the Tesla Center in Paris Madeleine, in the eighth arrondissement of the capital, from November 23 to December 8, 2024. To be able to approach the model, it is necessary to register in advance on the Tesla website.
Before launching the marketing of its Cybercab, Tesla must have already finalized the development of the fully autonomous version of its Autopilot. For the moment, the brand's vehicles come with an SAE level 2 autonomous driving system, where the driver retains full responsibility for their vehicle and must be able to regain control at any time. Specific authorizations are necessary to be able to put a level 3 or higher autonomous vehicle on the road, as long as the driver's attention is no longer required at all times. Tesla has chosen to directly aim for level 5 autonomous driving, allowing you to abandon the steering wheel and pedals, but which today still seems very far from being a reality.
