The ponds of our countryside are little corners of paradise where everything is calm and peaceful. At least in appearance… For their inhabitants, this bucolic setting is the scene of a daily struggle for survival: eat or be eaten!
Aquarena illustrates the food chain of a pond. Each turn you have 3 cards drawn from your Predator draw pile. You place one on a pond tile and discard another, face down, before drawing two new ones. When everyone has done the same, the first player chooses a tile from the pond and turns over all the predator cards there, resolving their effects. Will your predator be able to eat an amphibian or flies before being eaten itself?
