Google grafts memory to Gemini for personalized responses

Google's chatbot, powered by artificial intelligence, adds a new string to its bow. The company announces that Gemini is now able to personalize its responses based on user information. This new feature is currently being rolled out to Gemini Advanced plan subscribers.

Gemini integrates personalized instructions

As OpenAI did in April with ChatGPT and its personalized instructions, Google is adding a page on which the user can add information about their interests, work and response preferences. Gemini will use these to refine the way he shapes the conversation.

Given this new feature, if you indicate that you are vegetarian in the saved information and ask Gemini for a quick lunch recipe, the result should not suggest meat.

The user is able to consult, edit and delete his information at any time in the Gemini Advanced settings.
