The information was revealed this Tuesday during Disney's Content Showcase, which is currently taking place in Singapore. After soliciting studios from all over the world for season 2, this third chapter will return to the Japanese sources of the project with 9 new short films produced by Japanese studios.
The studios participating in this season 3 are David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) , Kamikaze Douga+ ANIMA (Sand Land), Kinema Citrus (The Rising of the Shield Hero), Polygon Pictures (Love, Death & Robots), GI production (Terminator Zero), Project Studio Q (Evangelion), TRIGGER (Cyberpunk Edgerunners) and WIT Studio (Vinland Saga).
The other good news is that you won't have to wait too long to discover this season, since its release is already planned for 2025.
As a reminder, season 1 of Star Wars: Visions arrived in September 2021 on Disney+, offering 9 new stories in the galactic universe of George Lucas, each with a particular aesthetic and animation technique. Star Wars: Visions was applauded as much by the public as by the critics.
The second season, made up of 9 other shorts produced by international studios such as Aardman, Cartoon Saloon and the French of La Cachettewas released on May 4, 2023.
