Huawei Mate X6: technical sheet, features and price of the foldable smartphone

After launching your Mate XT, a smartphone that folds in threeHuawei unveils the Mate X6 with its foldable format similar to the Galaxy Z Fold. But what does this smartphone have in store for us in terms of features? We take stock.

Huawei Mate X6 Features

First thing, the colors. The Huawei Mate X6 is entitled to five colors: Nebula Gray, Nebula White, Obsidian Black, Universal Red and Deep Sea Blue. The smartphone benefits from a distributed basalt body architecture which makes it stronger, thinner and lighter.

The foldable smartphone is also entitled to a second generation Kunlun glass for the standard version. The Collector's Edition benefits from basalt tempered glass with 16x increased scratch resistance, 65% improved rigidity and 37% increased strength.

For its standard version, the Huawei Mate X6 runs HarmonyOS NEXT with 12 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. For the Collector's Edition, it's 16 GB of RAM with 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. The basalt teardrop hinge uses innovative 1900 MPa steel for optimal durability and strength.

The foldable smartphone is entitled to nice features like Celia split-screen mode to automatically generate documents, content expansion tools and improved gesture controls. In terms of connectivity, we find dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, Nearlink, satellite messaging (and satellite calls for the Collector's Edition), an infrared sensor, a fingerprint reader, a gyroscope and even a barometer.
