iPhone 17 Pro: Apple plans new design changes
Informers are once again attacking the generation of Apple smartphones coming in 2025. While iPhone SE 4 is only a few months away, the next two Pro models are at the heart of discussions.
In addition to talk about the iPhone 17 Airthe blog post published on November 25, 2024 by The Information also attacks the design of the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.
We thus learn that several changes would be on the program, starting with the chassis. Without specifying the reason, the media mentions the abandonment of the titanium coating introduced with the iPhone 15 Proand reused with the iPhone 16 Pro. Instead, the Apple firm would use the same material as previous generations and standard models: aluminum.
As a bonus, The Information share that the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max would adopt a “larger rectangular” photo module, and made “of aluminum rather than traditional 3D glass”. For the rest of the back of these models, the glass would remain “to allow wireless charging”.
All of this raises questions about Apple's interest in abandoning titanium and reviewing the design of the photo module. For 9to5Mac, the media's revelations would potentially hide other developments which would shed light on the Apple firm's decisions.
“It seems that in a year where a flagship model, the iPhone 17 Air, will massively reduce the photo offering, Apple could rely more heavily on the characteristics of the sensors with its Pro range”, supposes the media .
The latest news was that we were hearing about a improved front sensor for the entire iPhone 17 range, a telephoto lens with much better resolution for the iPhone 17 Pro and an Air model with only one sensor on the back.
