Lilo & Stitch: a monstrous teaser for the next live-action Disney
Experiment 626 plays Godzilla in the middle of sandcastles in the first official teaser for Lilo & Stitchthe live-action remake of the 2002 cartoon (available for streaming on Disney+). A new look at Stitch in all his CGI-esque glory, but still no images of little Lilo.
Where is Lilo?
When this remake of Lilo & Stitch was announced, fears among fans of the Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders film were high regarding the look Stitch would have in the “live-action” version. Since the first preview revealed last summerwe are however reassured by the visual quality of the little blue alien.
Only here, Stitch is the only character that Disney is letting us see for the moment in this new film by Dean Fleischer Camp (Marcel the Shell (with his shoes)) and still no sign of Maia Kealoha in the guise of Lilo, who is nevertheless the other central character of the feature film, apart from the images revealed during filming.

We also note that Disney has not yet shown the appearance of the other extra-terrestrials in the feature film, such as Pleakley and Jumba (respectively played by Billy Magnussen and Zach Galifianakis) or the president of the Grand Council (Hannah Waddingham).
Finally, human adults of Lilo & Stitch Also absent are Sydney Agudong in the role of Nani, Lilo's big sister, Kaipot Dudoit as David Kawena, and Courtney B. Vance behind the black glasses of Cobra Bubbles. However, it would be time to start showing something other than experiment 626.
In the original version of this feature film expected in theaters in May 2025, Chris Sanders once again lends his voice to Stitch. And as shown in the teaser above against the backdrop of “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride,” some songs used in the cartoon will likely be heard in this film. For our part, we especially hope that in this live-action version, Lilo is still a fan of Elvis.
While waiting for next May, Disney also unveiled a poster for Lilo & Stitch :
