How is artificial intelligence preparing to revolutionize your sporting practice?
Employed appropriately, artificial intelligence can become a valuable tool to help active people improve their health and performance. Data from sensors integrated into wearables can help it analyze the body in real time. With its Zepp OS operating system, Amazfit connected watches are paving the way for this technological revolution.
Artificial intelligence and sport? A tandem which, at first glance, may seem surprising. However, this alliance promises to profoundly transform sporting practices and redefine the habits of millions of enthusiasts around the world. Rest assured, no sprinting robot will compete during the next Olympic Games! For now, artificial intelligence is being used in wearables to make us more efficient while watching over our health.
A pioneer in this field, Amazfit stands out with its Zepp OS operating system, boosted with AI. The brand has continued to innovate, multiplying initiatives to support both high-level athletes and everyday athletes. The objective? Achieve better physical shape while taking care of your body.
The AI revolution is (already) underway
It's not a secret, but it's always worth remembering. Physical activity offers real health benefits, particularly in the prevention of illnesses linked to anxiety and stress. Studies on the subject have multiplied in recent years, confirming the importance of moving. The hardest part, sometimes, is finding the motivation to get started and then listening to your body. And that's where AI comes in, to guide us, encourage us and help us stay attentive to our needs.
In the nearer future than you think, your smartwatch might be able to tell you to stop running right away, seek shade, and, if possible, drink water. For what ? Because your body temperature rises dangerously, you are dehydrated, and the risk of loss of consciousness becomes real. In other words, thanks to AI and a series of sophisticated sensors, your watch will be able to detect a critical situation before you are even aware of it.
Such interactions will take place in natural language, thanks to ever more efficient assistants. This will make a host of valuable tools much more accessible. Because although current connected watches are already equipped with versatile sensors to analyze physical state, many users do not use them, or very little, due to lack of understanding or time.
More natural interactions
Recognizing the benefits of AI, Amazfit introduced Zepp OS 3.5 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the world's first wearable operating system fully integrated with generative AI. An integration which has been further strengthened with the arrival of Zepp OS 4 in July 2024 available on the latest connected watches such as the Amazfit Balance, the T-Rex 3 or the Active.
At the heart of this latest release is Zepp Flow, a technology powered by large language models, capable of learning, evolving and growing based on what it sees, reads and hears, and does so in several languages, notably French.
Thanks to this AI with new capabilities, the user does not have to delve into the interface or look for tools on a screen that is too small to be used comfortably. All he has to do is say what he wants, without even having to use a specific word or expression to trigger the interaction. The Amazfit smartwatch understands the context and executes the command.
We are thus getting closer to what, a decade ago, was still presented as science fiction in Hollywood superhero films.
These technologies already available on Amazfit devices
This technology with its simply astonishing capabilities has also allowed Amazfit to develop two other services: Zepp Coach and Zepp Aura. As the name suggests, Zepp Coach is an AI-powered personal trainer. Interactions are done by text or voice. It creates personalized training plans, taking into account, among other things, the user's training level, and updates them weekly. The user can then query it if they have any questions or concerns regarding the planned program.
In a complementary register, Zepp Aura is aimed at people who are anxious or have difficulty falling asleep. The AI uses biometric data transmitted in real time by the Amazfit watch to help the user calm down. One module is notably capable of emitting soothing sounds so that he can relax.
And these are just the beginnings of the AI capabilities of Amazfit watches. Are you tired? Watches will soon be able to determine whether this fatigue is of physical or mental origin. Thanks to generative AI, conclusions will be obtained faster than ever, with natural interactions adapted to each user. The objective being, ultimately, to provide true holistic and personalized support.
