Why do things the same way as before? Old World offers a fresh take on some key elements of the 4X strategy genre:

Go beyond traditional resources. The buildings are made of wood and stone, not just “industry”. Population growth is not determined only by “food”.
Orders are a shared resource throughout your kingdom. Instead of moving each unit once per turn, each unit can be moved multiple times, until it is exhausted or Orders are exhausted.
Technological advancement is not predetermined. An element of randomness helps ensure that the technology trees maintain a certain freshness with each new game.
Convenience improvements, such as the ability to undo actions performed in error, and nested tooltips, help ensure you always make informed decisions.
