Skeleton Crew (Disney+): the new Star Wars series will be released sooner than expected
It's Christmas before time for fans of the saga Star Wars. Disney has indeed just brought forward the broadcast of Skeleton Crewthe new series from the famous intergalactic universe of George Lucas, which was originally to be released on the Disney+ streaming platform this Wednesday, December 4.
A handful of hours saved
Skeleton Crew is therefore the new series to have the right to an early release, which has become a preferential treatment reserved for flagship Disney+ programs.
The first two episodes of the series will be available from Tuesday, December 3 at 3 a.m., i.e. 30 hours before its original release on December 4 at 9 a.m.
A modification that seems slight at first glance, but which will undoubtedly delight the most impatient fans of the fantasy / science fiction franchise. The following six episodes will then be broadcast weekly every Wednesday, until the final chapter on January 15, 2025.
As a reminder, the series tells the story of four children who find themselves torn from their peaceful planet and propelled into a galaxy as strange as it is dangerous. Lost in the far reaches of the galaxy, they will have to find allies and find their way home.
Created by Christopher Ford, screenwriter of Chaos Walkingand Jon Watts, at the helm of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: No Way Home or the recent film Wolfs from Apple TV+, Skeleton Crew is produced in particular by the indestructible Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Kathleen Kennedy.

Prestigious directors at the helm
In addition to this change in broadcast date, Disney also shared a new visual, and the complete list of directors of the series. And it must be admitted that the chosen filmmakers make us optimistic about the final result.
In addition to Jon Watts who signs the first and last episodes, we find at the helm the duo Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (Everything Everywhere All At Once), as well as Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian), Lee Isaac Chung (Minari) and David Lowery (A Ghost Story, The Green Knight).
The appointment is therefore made on December 3 in the night to discover the first episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew on Disney+.
