New Canal+ releases: films, series and documentaries to watch in streaming in December 2024

In the wake of Netflix And Prime Video, Canal+ arrives with its delivery of new films, series and documentaries to join its myCanal streaming platform in December 2024.

An elegant mix of retro series, impressive blockbusters and films for the whole family, sprinkled with a few Christmas nuggets.

And as we don't change good habits, before revealing the new Canal+ and myCanal programs in December, here is our selection of the film and series of the month on the service.

The Canal+ series of the month

Creature Commandos

The adventures of the Creature Commandos, a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails…they are your last and worst option.

This new animated series, created by James Gunn himself, will tell the adventures of a team of heroes like no other, made up of scientist Nina Mazursky, Dr. Phosphorus, Frankenstein's monster, and Frankenstein's fiancée. , from GI Robot, as well as Rick Flag and Weasel, already crossed in Suicide Squad.

The Canal+ film of the month

Winter Break

A sullen instructor at a New England prep school stays on campus over Christmas break to babysit a handful of students who have nowhere else to go. He soon forms an unlikely bond with a smart but damaged troublemaker and the school's head cook, a woman who has just lost a son in the Vietnam War.

Director Alexander Payne (Sideways, The Descendants) applies his usual bittersweet tone to this Christmas tale of those left behind, which turns into a tender and improbable adventure.
