A long time ago, there was a great conflict between the evil god and the people. After a fierce battle, the people successfully sealed away the evil god, but what was left behind was a wasteland. The people therefore chose to abandon the earth and live in heaven.
Such fairy tales have been passed down as legends. At that time, people had wings called heart wings and lived a peaceful life. It was an era of lasting tranquility… But the collapse had already begun silently.
When a young man calls upon the guardian spirit, the story begins to unfold. A story about a continent floating in the sky, where thoughts and prayers intersect.
In the world of “Baten Kaitos”, equipment, weapon, magic, items, etc… possess “Magna Essence” which can be sealed on cards and return to their original form if necessary. These cards are called “Magnus” and are completely unique to these games.
Each character has their own deck of “Magnus” cards that they can select to attack or heal. Attack power is determined by the attributes and combination of cards that are randomly dealt from the deck.
