The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is preparing to be launched on the Chinese market on December 9, 2024, accompanied by its standard version. Presented as the “Most advanced SuperNote” from Xiaomi, this model is already attracting attention thanks to its innovative features, including its IP69 certification, a guarantee of maximum resistance against dust and water. However, this certification will not be universally available, as the manufacturer recently confirmed.

IP69 certification reserved for China?

In China, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ benefits from IP69 certification, which guarantees resistance to high-pressure hot water jets. A protection that also benefits its high-end competitor, the Realme GT7 Pro. However, the international version of Xiaomi's smartphone, already announced for India, will only have a slightly lower IP68 certification. This means that the global model could be less protected in extreme environments. This distinction underlines Xiaomi's differentiated strategy depending on the market.

One of the strong points of this model is its Amoled screen, protected by ultra-resistant Corning Gorilla Victus 2 glass, a rare feature in this price segment. Xiaomi confirmed on its site that this specification would be maintained internationally, thus repelling fears of technical degradations between the Chinese and global versions.

An intensive teasing campaign

Xiaomi is relying on an intense communication strategy to promote its Redmi Note 14 Pro+. In India, the brand's social networks highlight the qualities of the smartphone, following an approach similar to that used for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. These efforts are aimed at generating excitement before its arrival in the Indian market.

The global launch date remains to be confirmed, but this smartphone could nevertheless establish itself as an essential choice in the mid-range device segment.
