THE Xiaomi 15 Ultra is not planned for the end of 2024. The latter would, however, consider an earlier launch than its predecessor, with a potential announcement during the month of January 2025 instead of February. Xiaomi would thus be in the lead to tackle the Galaxy S25 Ultra, expected at the same time.

While waiting for an official release, rumors are intensifying around this model. While the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is more than likely on this generation, thus following the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Prothe latest leak from Digital Chat Station now tackles the rest of the technical sheet of Xiaomi's next premium smartphone.

To begin with, the Chinese leaker mentions the use of a curved screen on four sides with 2K definition, the same proposal as on the Xiaomi 14 Ultra. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra should therefore remain on a 6.73-inch panel with an adaptive refresh rate of 1-120 Hz and a definition of 3200 x 1440 pixels.

In terms of photo configuration, the rear module would have a 1-inch main sensor with a better aperture. However, we do not know if the variable aperture system is still there. To accompany it, a 200 Mpx telephoto lens and a second 50 Mpx. The first would also be of the periscope type, and would offer an optical zoom of around x4 according to previous information. In comparison, that of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra was 50 Mpx and had x5 magnification without loss of quality.

Just as for the Redmi Note 14 Pro+Xioami would attach importance to the protection of its 15 Ultra model. Digital Chat Station in fact speaks of an IP68 and IP69 dust and water seal certification.

Finally, the informant confirms the presence of wireless charging, and announces that the battery should not be much larger. We should therefore remain with a capacity of 5,000 mAh offered on the international version of the 14 Ultra, unless Xiaomi chooses to extend the 5,300 mAh battery of its Chinese version here.

We would thus be far removed from the competition, which now offers 6,000 mAh batteries, particularly with the OnePlus 13. The Chinese brand, however, is not lagging behind on this subject, given that we were recently treated to a similar battery size on the Redmi K80 Pro.
