2025 Club World Cup: its broadcast will be exclusive and free on DAZN
Desperately seeking success and legitimacy in France, DAZN has just signed something that could potentially help it get its head above water in our territory. In any case, it should improve its image a little and attract many users around the world thanks to its latest deal signed with FIFA. The latter would also not mind a little positive publicity, for a change.
An exclusivity that has the good taste of free
The streaming platform dedicated to sport will in fact be the only one to broadcast the next Club World Cup (or FIFA Club World Cup) in 2025. All 63 matches of the tournament will be affected, while the partnership will even begin tomorrow , December 5, with the broadcast of the draw for the groups of the 32 participating world clubs.
If the story had ended there, there is no doubt that the shields and pitchforks of football fans would have been raised, in particular because of the prices considered high by DAZN. Fortunately, it will be possible to watch the competition, which begins on Sunday June 15, 2025 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami for a period of 29 days, free of charge.
DAZN and FIFA take care of their image
In addition, several languages will be offered, with the possibility of sublicensing the rights to local free television channels. The goal of the maneuver is clear, and the press release only underlines it: “By making this major competition accessible to all fans around the world, this groundbreaking partnership combines DAZN’s expertise and unique vision with FIFA’s commitment to making football truly universal.“
This press release also tells us that this partnership is only the beginning. It should in fact ultimately be a “broader partnership between DAZN and FIFA” because “this includes the integration of FIFA+, which offers iconic moments and full match replays, as well as live matches, into the DAZN platform.“
