Even though Recall still encounters many problems in the Insider version of WindowsCopilot is launching new features in spades. Thus, the latest update of Microsoft's artificial intelligence integrates Copilot Vision, a function whose aim is to assist the user when browsing the web, in particular by reading with them, discussing potential problems encountered during its navigation. The tool can also analyze a web page and provide various information depending on the user's choices.

See, understand and assist the user with their web browsing

Announced last October, this new feature sees and understands what appears on your screen, in order to offer you appropriate assistance. Obviously, such a function is reminiscent of the fiasco that was the announcement and launch of Recall a few months ago. By giving full access to the user's screen, the question of data security and confidentiality obviously arises. This was one of the main problems with Windows Recall, which caused Microsoft to remove the feature for a time. Today, everything seems more reliable, but the function still struggles to convince overall.

Microsoft wants to reassure: the firm indicates that the Copilot Vision subscription will be completely optional, which will allow them to decide whether Copilot can have access to their web browsing. And for those who choose to enroll in the program, all data shared with Copilot will be deleted according to Microsoft. To benefit from Copilot Vision, it will be necessary to have a Copilot Pro subscriptionat 20 dollars per month (22 euros in France). The latter offers other advantages, such as access to the latest artificial intelligence models, access to Copilot Voice and Copilot in certain Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.). For the moment, Copilot Vision is only accessible in Preview version across the Atlantic, and the tool only works on Microsoft Edge for the moment, but there is no doubt that the tool should be extended for its public version and international, the date of entry into service of which has not yet been announced.
