The Xiaomi 15 Ultra promises to be one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2025. Following its recent passage through Chinese 3C certification, several details have emerged. His predecessor, the Xiaomi 14 Ultrahad itself been certified at the beginning of February 2024, for a presentation a few days later. This new device could therefore follow the same path with an early release, like most manufacturers this year.
A delayed but imminent arrival
Initially expected in January 2025, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would however have fallen a little behind schedule. According to the informant Digital Chat Station, quite prolific on the Chinese social network Weibosoftware adjustments would still be necessary, although the hardware is almost ready. However, everything suggests that this smartphone will debut in China fairly quickly, with a global launch in Barcelona during MWC 2025.
A compendium of innovations
According to the first rumors, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra would rely on impressive specifications to dominate the market:
- A 6.7-inch curved Oled LTPO display with 2K resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, and an integrated ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
- Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, among the most powerful for multitasking and gaming.
- A battery with a capacity between 5450 and 5800 mAh compatible with 90 W ultra-fast wired charging.
- Support for satellite communications via Tiantong and Beidou networks.
Its photo configuration as a major argument
For once, Xiaomi will focus on photography, with a complete quadruple photo module:
- A main sensor flanked by wide-angle optics opening at f/1.63.
- A 200 megapixel x4.3 periscopic telephoto lens.
- A x2 zoom of 50 Mpx and an ultra wide angle.
An international release to be confirmed
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra would be offered in several finishes, with a faux leather covering, or a ceramic back, or even fiberglass. It would first be launched in China, and should then be available in several international markets. However, availability of certain features, such as satellite connectivity, may not be available in all territories.
