CES 2025: LG reveals snippets of the future Xboom by will.i.am range
Since the creation of Beats in 2006 by Dr. Dre, who did not hesitate to stamp his products with his artist name, collaborations between audio product manufacturers and personalities have been legion. Among them, we were able to count on a WESC audio headset created in collaboration with RZA in 2012. More recently, products representing PSG and Kim Kardashian appeared at Master & Dynamic and Beats. In addition to renewing their image, this type of partnership allows brands to directly reach the community of personalities concerned.
To announce the update to its Xboom audio product line planned for CES 2025 in Las Vegas, LG has teamed up with artist will.i.am. The Black Eyed Peas rapper would have provided strategic advice on the design and marketing of these new products inevitably called “Xboom by will.i.am”.
New sound signature and revisited design
All products in the series will obviously get a makeover with a new design highlighting the artist's logo. They would also benefit from a new sound signature developed under the control of will.i.am, described by the brand as delivering “rich, powerful bass with a balanced, warm sound“In addition, two sound modes offering different listening experiences would be included. One would emphasize the bass, while another would focus on balance for more everyday listening.”appeased“.
Furthermore, as the founder of the AI-driven radio RAiDiO.FYI, will.i.am took the liberty of integrating it into these new LG products. The user will therefore be able to interact in real time with two-way conversations in order to manage their musical content and access a plethora of thematic stations.
Wireless speakers and headphones unveiled at CES 2025
If nothing has been officially launched yet, LG's press release still reveals a mysterious visual with some details, as well as lifestyle photos showing will.i.am in possession of the products. We can therefore at least be sure that LG will present a pair of true wireless headphones, as well as several types of Bluetooth speakers. Xboom range requires: new party speakers should also be in the pipeline.
