Nothing Phone (2a) Plus: Android 15 is finally available in beta, here's how to take advantage of it!
While Samsung has barely launched its One UI 7 beta programrunning Android 15, Nothing has already started the process well with its next software overlay Nothing OS 3.0.
Indeed, the Phone (2), Phone (2a) and CMF Phone 1 can already install this version through Nothing's open beta program. And since December 12, 2024, it's the turn of the Phone (2a) Plus to benefit from it.
We thus find the main new features of Nothing OS 3.0including shared widgets, lock screen customization, smart application folders, better multitasking management and even small optimizations for quick shortcuts or the camera.

Concerning the installation process of this new version, here are the steps to follow:
- Verify that Nothing OS 2.6 is installed
- Download the following APK
- Install the APF from its downloads
- Then go to settings
- Open menu System
- Press Update to Beta
- Touch the option Check for a new version
- Follow the on-screen instructions
After installing Nothing OS 3.0, the brand recommends making returns via your phone or the dedicated discussion on its forum in order to correct potential bugs in this new update on the Phone (2a) Plus.
For information, the Phone (1) is the last smartphone not to have tasted this new version. Good news, Nothing's deployment schedule still suggests a launch sometime in December 2024. It is therefore only a matter of a day before we can install the beta on the company's first phone.
