Shelly PRO EM-50 is a single-phase WiFi Wattmeter/Voltmeter supplied with 2 50A clampscapable of measuring the power consumed of the current which passes through the wires on which the measuring clamps are placed, and monitoring the mains voltage, to be integrated into a local Home Automation solution or in the manufacturer's Cloud, to monitor all or part of the consumption of the house, store, warehouse, workshop, photovoltaic production, etc…
“GEN2” Shelly firmware with µJavaScript scripting capability to add additional features.
Compatible with solar panels or wind turbines to measure the energy produced.
To be mounted on DIN rail.
Quick installation: just clip the clamps onto the unstripped cables already in place, without interrupting the circuit, even momentarily, as with a classic electrician's current clamp.
The pliers have a cable of approximately 64cm. It is possible to extend with telephone or Ethernet multi-pair.
Measures :
– 2x Consumption (W) active and apparent power
– 2x Current (A) from 0 to 50A
– 2x Energy (Wh)
– 2x Load quality (responsive)
– 1x Voltage (V) from 100 to 260V
Integrated 2A max “dry contact” type relay (to switch a higher rating panel relay, control load shedding, for example)
Other functions:
– accumulated consumed energy (meter style)
– integrated real-time clock and SNTP
– 60 days of history in internal archive (non-volatile memory) with 1 minute measurement interval
– possibility of programming a setpoint if the programmable power threshold is exceeded (overload, energy theft, triggering an outage for example) by sending commands to other compatible equipment (DDD, Actions, µJS scripting) with 20 WEBhooks of 5 URLs each.
– export measurement file in CSV and JSON format via RPC.
Class B accuracy (IEC 62053-21) for active energy, measurement accuracy better than 1%.
Accuracy of Ammeters: 1% from 2 to 120A, 2% from 1 to 2A, 5% from 0 to 1A.
Operating temperature range -20 +40 °C, 30 to 70% rh.
Dimensions: approximately 94 x 19 x 69 mm.
Weight approximately 63 g.
DIN rail mounting.
Max torque on terminal screws 0.4Nm / 4.43 lbin.
Max conductor section 0.5 to 2.5 mm², stripped length approximately 6 to 7 mm.
110-240Vac 50/60Hz.
Consumption < 3W
WiFi, BlueTooth, LAN (RJ45).
Wireless/WiFi 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz, power 1mW. Radio range approximately 30m depending on environment.
It is designed around the famous ESP32 integrated circuit, well known to Arduino, Raspberry and other consumer microcontroller boards, as it is widely used by “Makers”. A connector allows you to inject a completely different firmware from those available in Open Source on the Internet, or your own, to replace the original one, if necessary.
The “Shelly devices” can be used in standalone mode because they operate in AP WI-FI mode at reset, or registered on the manufacturer's Cloud and then accessible from their free applications to install in your smartphone under IOS (iPhone or iPAD) or Android , or even usable from any PC with an Internet browser by going to the manufacturer's Cloud: https://control.shelly.cloud
It is then possible to group their commands (1 button, several Shellys), to create scenarios (timer, events, calendar, day/night, automatic reporting by mini-message or email, etc.).
You can also integrate them into your home automation system such as Domoticz managers, openHAB, Home Assistant, iBroker, or any other MQTT or {REST} API protocol.
The Shelly PRO EM-50 complies with R&TTE 1999/5/WE, LVD 2006/95/WE, EMC 2004/108/WE, RoHS2 2011/65/EU, RE Directive 2014/53/EU
