History
Once upon a time…
In a distant world, of unparalleled beauty,
A princess and her brave knight enjoying the sun.
When suddenly, disaster! The village went up in smoke,
Darkness arose and took over the palace.
The evil shadow grows until it reaches the Sovereign Tree,
draining him of his vitality by powers of perfidious ends.
With chaos spreading, the Demon Lord delivered his most infamous blow.
From under Arthur's nose, the princess he kidnapped, to make her his wife.
Arthur quickly put on his armor and left to help his friend.
On the way to the Demon Realm! The monsters had better watch out.
The game
Like its predecessors, Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection is based on simple controls that everyone can enjoy. Take advantage of this by traversing levels as strange as they are disturbing, filled with unique enemies in an enchanting world, the result of a resolutely modern technology and game design philosophy.
Ghosts 'n Goblins is no walk in the park. Its legendary difficulty made it famous and Resurrection, as a worthy heir, does not deviate from this tradition. You will die over and over again, but you will always rise again. Each attempt will strengthen you and allow you to learn about your enemies and refine your strategy. You will sweat blood and water, but the victory will be all the sweeter. That's the charm of Ghosts 'n Goblins!
In Resurrection, Arthur can obtain eight types of weapons, each with unique characteristics. Eliminate your enemies with those good old spears and daggers, send them flying with the hammer, or knock them backwards with a good blow of the flail! Take advantage of these weapons and more to conquer the demon realm!
In addition to this vast arsenal, Arthur will have to learn to master many spells and skills. Use Holy Storm to unleash lightning in four directions, or learn a skill to increase the size of Arthur's inventory and carry more weapons. Don't forget this myriad of spells and skills when developing your strategy!
Use Arthur's weapons, magic and skills to face the many trials that await you in the Demon Realm and return the princess safe and sound. Gather all the courage and determination that lies within you, you will need it!
If the challenge proves too difficult for our brave hero in solo mode, Arthur can always count on the help of his ancestors, the three wise men. This super fun new co-op mode is a unique experience in this legendary series!
You can play Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection with just one Joy-Con™ held horizontally, so it's easy to have fun with two people! Simply pass the other Joy-Con™ to your friend!
Note: Co-op mode in local multiplayer only. It is not possible to play online.
