End of suspense: the OnePlus 3R smartphone is official
THE OnePlus 12R was an excellent surprise in 2024, thanks in particular to the combination of a 5,500 mAh battery and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which gave it excellent autonomy. And this smartphone will not remain without a successor, since OnePlus today presents the 13R, its direct heir. A smartphone of which it does not detail the entire technical sheet, but of which the complete announcement will take place on the occasion of theevent planned by the brand on January 7and which will also welcome the OnePlus 13.
For the moment, OnePlus does not detail the entire technical sheet of its device; we have to keep a few surprises for January 7. But the brand shows the design of its 13R, of which it mentions both the back and the flat screen (the 12R had a slightly curved screen) and the thinness, estimated at 8 mm. We also know that the smartphone benefits from Gorilla Glass 7i screen protection, Corning's recent technology succeeding Gorilla Glass 5 and promising greater resistance to shocks and scratches. Note also that the smartphone offers a triple back photo module without the Hasselblad stamp and compatible with a burst shooting mode called Clear burst. above all, that it integrates a 6000 mAh accumulator. We are therefore entitled to hope for autonomy at least as high as the 12R.
A price still to be confirmed
These are currently the only elements available about the OnePlus 13R, the exact price and availability date of which will be revealed at the beginning of January; we will still note that the 12R was launched at €699, which allows us to glimpse the positioning of its successor. Let us specify thate recent leaks give hope for a 6.78-inch Oled screen, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip (high-end model from 2024, when the OnePlus 13 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite). The terminal's wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle and telephoto photo modules would each display 50 megapixels. A promising technical sheet which nevertheless remains to be confirmed.
