Upstream of CES 2025LG has just revealed part of its plans for its future televisions. If OLED will retain a prominent place in its strategy, the manufacturer has also decided to specifically focus on a series of premium LCD TVs, called QNED evo. This, in addition to relying on the increasingly adopted technology of mini-LED (pushed by manufacturers like TCL and Hisense, even Sony has decided to get involved) will borrow features previously reserved for LG OLED TVs.

The OLED had better watch out

The QNED evo range will firstly offer TVs ranging from 40 to, for the first time, 100 inches. Powered by webOS 25, these TVs benefit from a new technology called Dynamic QNED Color Solution. This promises better color reproduction by replacing quantum dots.

Who says 2025 obviously says AI. Televisions in this range, equipped with an a8 AI processor, will benefit from tools deemed to be around 70% more efficient than last year's models. Upscaling, HDR or even the transformation of dual-channel sound into 9.1.2 are mentioned.

AI and wireless

The new AI Magic Remote also has a new button dedicated to artificial intelligence. A quick press on it provides quick access to keywords and functions deemed useful, while a long press allows you to perform a personalized AI search.

Finally, at CES the QNED evo QNED9M will be revealed. This is a True Wireless 4K model, wireless technology until now reserved for LG's high-end OLED. Enough to watch UHD content up to 144 Hz on the TV wirelessly without delay or loss of quality using a separate Zero Connect Box. AMD FreeSync Premium certification is also included.
