Disney signs agreement with Orange to spoil ISP customers
This December 20, a few days before the effective end of the partnership between Canal+ and Disneythe latter announces having signed with Orange. This distribution agreement concretely enriches the entertainment offering for the Internet service provider's TV subscribers.
Three offers “simple and complementary”
For the record, the partnership between Canal+ and Disney notably allowed you to enjoy the American and Disney+ streaming service within certain bouquets. At Orange, things are a little different.
First of all, from January 2, 2025, all Orange TV customers will have access to two Disney channels, namely Disney Channel (children) and National Geographic (documentaries). To take advantage of it, head to the Orange TV application, its connected TV or its decoder.
Concerning the Disney+ SVoD service, no free integration, but “privileged” access conditions for Livebox Max customers (€34.99/month for 6 months then €57.99/month). Concretely, they can now benefit from a reduction of €5 for life when they subscribe to Disney+ via Orange. This reduction can be combined with those already offered for the services Netflix And Max.
Disney+ subscription prices do not change (€5.99/month with advertising, €9.99/month with and €13.99/month in Premium), while existing subscribers can transfer their subscription to Orange . Other Orange customers excluding Livebox Max will have to settle for a free first month.
Finally, and this is perhaps the most interesting new feature, Disney films will be offered on VOD (purchase or rental) from Orange four months after their theatrical release.
Enough to enjoy the latest Disney, Pixar, 20th Century Studios, Marvel or Lucasfilm films in your living room as quickly as possible, as offered by Canal+ and its privileged relationship to the media chronology. For their arrival on Disney+, however, you will have to continue to wait more than a year and a half.
