New Netflix releases: series, films and documentaries to watch in streaming in January 2025
The month of December is not quite over yet, Netflix already has his eyes set on next year. The streaming platform has already unveiled the list of new films, series and documentaries which will complete its catalog in January 2025. A high-quality arrival, which should continue to establish the domination of the streaming giant over its rivals. Prime Video, Disney+, Max And Canal+.
As a preamble to the list of new programs from the streaming service in January, here is, in our opinion, the film and series of the month to watch on Netflix.
Netflix series of the month
At the dawn of America
America, 1857. Chaos reigns, suffering is everywhere, and innocence and tranquility are losing the fight to hatred and fear. Peace and grace reach only a minority, and compassion has become a foreign feeling. In these lands of violence, only one thing matters: survival.
This six-episode miniseries written by Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) and directed by Peter Berg (Friday Night Lights, Painkiller) promises a brutal plunge into the chaos that was the Conquest of the American West, between clashes of cultures, communities and religions. At the center of this ambitious story, At the dawn of America (American Primeval in original version) offers a quality cast, including Taylor Kitsch, Betty Gilpin and Dane DeHaan.
Starting January 9 on Netflix.

Wallace and Gromit: The Palm of Vengeance
Gromit's fears that Wallace would become too dependent on his inventions prove well-founded when he invents an intelligent gnome who begins to take too much initiative. When it turns out that an old acquaintance seeking revenge may be behind it, Gromit must fight dark forces and save his master…or Wallace may never invent anything again!
Sixteen years after their last cinematic adventure (The Mystery of the Were-Rabbit), the famous duo from the Aardman studio are back to face an iconic villain from their history: the terrible Feathers McGraw! Still directed by the indestructible Nick Park, helped here by Merlin Crossingham, this new film promises its share of burlesque, thrills, cheese and crackers. Ideal for starting the year off right.
Starting January 3 on Netflix.
