The Last Worker is an immersive narrative adventure that tells the story of a lone worker's defiance in the face of an increasingly automated world. The Last Worker offers a unique blend of simulation and stealth and strategic gameplay mechanics.
The game takes place in an oppressive and desolate environment with a strange charm, with characters designed by comic book legend Mick McMahon.
Kurt works for one of the largest retailers in the world and will have to choose between capitalism or activism. Having dedicated his life to work, Kurt's loyalty is tested when a group of activists ask him to dismantle Jüngle from the inside.
Aboard his company-provided flying Jüngle pod and armed with his multi-function Jüngle gun, Kurt ships countless products from a distribution center the size of the sunken city of Manhattan.
Kurt (played by Ólafur Darri Ólafsson) has devoted his life to Jüngle, with his co-bot, Skew (Jason Isaacs) to keep him company. But when the activist group SPEAR asks Kurt for help in dismantling Jüngle from the inside, he forcibly uncovers the dark side of his employer.
The Last Worker offers a gripping, emotional, thought-provoking story with complex characters played by stellar actors including Jason Isaacs, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Clare-Hope Ashitey, David Hewlett, Zelda Williams and Tommie Earl Jenkins.
