According to Chinese media LatePostproduction of the improved Model Y could begin as early as January 2025 in Shanghai. This would correspond to the period of time observed between the appearance of prototypes of the restyled Model 3 on the road and its entry into production.
Furthermore, while the Model Y is usually available to order for delivery within a few weeks, its entry-level Propulsion version is now scheduled for arrival in May 2025, according to the model's French configurator. For some, this could be a sign of the imminent arrival of the facelifted Model Y, which could be hiding behind extended delivery times. However, we will remain cautious.
According to various leaks and rumors, the restyled Model Y should receive developments close to those made to the improved Model 3. Its quality of finish could therefore be improved, as well as that of its soundproofing, while the Model Y should in turn abandon the controls behind the steering wheel. Style-wise, on the other hand, the SUV could distance itself from the Model 3 by adopting light strips connecting its headlights.
