Samsung plans to announce all these new features in January 2025
The start of the year continues to be Samsung's time to unveil an armada of new products, and the Galaxy Unpacked of 2025 promises some great revelations. Expected for January 22, the event would obviously give pride of place to Galaxy S25, S25+ and S25 Ultra…and a little new one, the Galaxy S25 Slim !
DigiTimes also looked at Samsung's plans in a recent article published on December 25, 2024. The media first emphasizes that Samsung's next high-end smartphones would benefit from the chip Snapdragon 8 Elite for “enhanced AI capabilities”.
The suite of tools Galaxy AI should also be enhanced with an assistant boosted with artificial intelligence delivering “personalized clothing suggestions and transportation information”. The opportunity to get advice on the best combinations for your outfit of the day, or to know the timetables for arriving on time by bus, metro or tram.
To accompany smartphones, a new generation of connected ring would be on the program. Early 2025 would mark the introduction of the Galaxy Ring 2. On the program: two additional sizes, improved sensors, new AI functions and better autonomy (+ seven days) compared to the first Galaxy Ring.
Latest expected product: augmented reality glasses. A logical continuation when we know that Samsung and Google have joined forces around Android XR, an operating system dedicated to augmented reality. We thus discovered in December 2024 Samsung’s “Project Moohan”a headset clearly aimed at competing with the Vision Pro.
The South Korean firm plans to start in the field in 2025 with connected glasses. For DigiTimes, it would be possible to interact with Gemini thanks to this mount, while benefiting from a compact design with a weight of 50 g.
The release date remains uncertain, however, which may suggest a teaser ahead of a launch later in the year. We could thus be faced with a similar pattern to the launch of the Galaxy Ring : teasing in January during Galaxy Unpacked and in February for MWC and launch alongside the next Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip in July.
