Like Samsung, Oppo plans to organize two major mobile events per year

Oppo stood out in the fall of 2024, first in China then in Europe, with the launch of its Find X8 series. It currently has two models, only the Pro version (which we tested) is marketed in France, thus embodying the flagship of the brand. However, it is more than likely that the Chinese firm will not stick to these devices and will expand its Find series from the beginning of 2025 with an Ultra version and folding terminals. Suffice it to say that Oppo's schedule is likely to be busy. But to clarify its offer and better raise expectations among its customers, the firm announces its intention to better organize its announcements.
Like Samsug, which organizes two Galaxy Unpacked events per year (one around January, for its Galaxy Sand the other in July/August, for its Galaxy Z), Oppo plans to divide its high-end mobile announcements into two highlights. Zhou Yibao, head of the Find division at Oppo, assures on the Chinese social network Weibo that “in the future, [Oppo organisera] a flagship launch conference in spring and a flagship launch conference in fall every year”. All this applies to China, even if the brand generally quickly announces the international version of its devices, and above all, Zhou Yibao does not specify whether this schedule is expected to be implemented from 2025.
We can doubt it, given the quantity of products expected. Not only did the product manager confirm, again on Weibo, that a folding smartphone – undoubtedly the Find N5, counterpart of the OnePlus Open 2 – would be made official before the Find X8 Ultra, but some believe that this same Ultra model will not arrive alone. THE leaker Digitial Chat Station assured a few days ago that the terminal would be accompanied by a Mini version, and even a Find X8S, a refreshed version of the Find X8. All that remains is to hope that Oppo will provide more information about them during the Mobile World Congress 2025, which will be held in early March in Barcelona.
