Before the Galaxy Unpacked launch event scheduled for the end of January 2025, rumors continue around Samsung's next high-end smartphones, and more specifically the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The best equipped model has just seen its photo part revealed by the AssembleDebug snoop. Collaborating regularly with the media Android Authority, the informant explained this December 27 on Twitter/X having gotten hold of files “confirming the photo sensors” of the smartphone.

We thus learn that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would benefit from the following objectives:

  • 200 MP ISOCELL HP2 main sensor
  • 50 MP ISOCELL JN3 Ultra Wide Angle
  • 10MP Sony IMX754 x3 telephoto lens
  • 50 MP Sony IMX854 x5 telephoto lens
  • 12MP ISOCELL 3LU selfie camera

Comparing all this to Galaxy S24 UltraSamsung would offer few surprises with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. In fact, only the ultra-wide-angle differs, going from 12 Mpx to 50 Mpx.

The opportunity for Samsung to align itself with Pixel 9 Pro And iPhone 16 Pro with a high-resolution lens that can take advantage of the technology of pixel binning.

Note, Samsung's ISOCELL JN3 would also capture 34% more light than the ultra wide-angle of the S24 Ultra, while offering more details or even the possibility of filming in 8K.

Although not much will change in terms of photo configuration, we still expect developments on the software side for the Galaxy S25 Ultra in order to offer even better quality images. This could involve a better image processing system or even AI functionsadditional.
