New Disney+ releases: films and series to watch in streaming in January 2025

As the year 2025 opens its arms wide to us, the Disney+ streaming platform is enhancing its catalog of new films, series and documentaries coming in January. A (surprisingly) eclectic delivery which should delight subscribers, and strengthen the status of the service in the face of Netflix, Prime Video, Max And Canal+.

Before presenting you the list of new releases from Disney+ in January, here (in our opinion) is the series and film of the month on the streaming platform.

Paradise

The tranquility of a wealthy, serene community, inhabited by some of the world's most prominent people, explodes when a shocking murder is committed and a high-stakes investigation is launched.

Dan Fogelman, creator of This is usfinds the talented Sterling K. Brown (American fiction, Black Panther) for a new thriller series with a geo-political intrigue that promises to be gripping. Not to spoil anything, the rest of the casting is quality: James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, Krys Marshall…

Starting January 28 on Disney+.

Indiana Jones and the Clock of Destiny

The year is 1969. After more than a decade teaching in New York, Indiana Jones is about to retire. Everything changes after the visit of his goddaughter Helena Shaw, in search of a rare artifact: the Archimedes dial, a device which would have the power to locate temporal cracks. This one is coveted by Jürgen Voller, a former Nazi and old enemy of Indy.

If it is far from the heights of the best films in the franchise (The Last Crusade remaining at the top), The Dial of Destiny will reconcile fans with Indiana Jones, after the disappointment of the fourth film. A generous, touching adventure with a golden cast, which offers a beautiful goodbye to the character of Indy.
