Squid Game (Netflix): release date for season 3 leaked

Since December 26, player 456 has returned to service on Netflix in the second season of the South Korean series, Squid Game. So Gi-hun once again faced the deadly game that can earn its participants billions of won. But when will he return for a third part?

Season 3 next June?

We won't spoil the surprise for you regarding the fate of Lee Jung-jae's character in season 2 if you haven't finished it yet. In any case, we can confirm that Squid Game will indeed have a season 3, this one having been announced several months ago already, even before the release of the second season.

It was previously planned for 2025 without further details, but it could well be that Netflix Korea has accidentally already communicated its precise release date.

A video was posted on their YouTube account indicating June 27, 2025 as the broadcast date of Squid Game 3but it has since been removed. This date should therefore be taken with a grain of salt even if this third season has already been filmed, a release in June is within the realm of possibility.

In any case, this last act of the Netflix series is eagerly awaited by fans who have wasted no time in seeing the highly anticipated season 2.

The latter once again allowed the series to break all records on the streaming platform. In just four days on Netflix, Squid Game 2 has thus accumulated 68 million views, surpassing Wednesday and its record 50.1 million views in 2022.

Netflix also benefited from the launch of season 2 of Squid Game to tease season 3, with a poster and a short video reaffirming its release in 2025.
