A manufacturer from across the Atlantic engaged in the development of electric motorcycles, LiveWire will start the year 2025 strong with the official presentation of the S2 Alpinista. This launch, scheduled for January 15, confirms the arrival of a fourth model based on the S2 platform.

The origin of LiveWire

The LiveWire brand has its origins within the Harley-Davidson company, where it first saw the light of day as an internal project. The name LiveWire made its first appearance in 2014, when the prestigious firm presented a prototype of an electric motorcycle, thus marking its first foray into the field of “electron” mobility.

This project came to fruition in 2019 with the launch of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire production model. Later, in May 2021, the company announced the creation of a dedicated and independent brand, called LiveWire. This entity is dedicated exclusively to the development and marketing of electric motorcycles, allowing Harley-Davidson to fully position itself in the energy transition of the motorcycle sector.

New, more rational horizons for LiveWire

Rumors are rife, but it's a safe bet that LiveWire will offer an electric trail, or some sort of trail. Indeed, this type of model is very popular. In a complicated market (the electric motorcycle is not breaking through), playing it safe with a popular product (like car manufacturers with SUVs) is not a bad idea.

Three people are standing on the next LiveWire.

But what might the new LiveWire look like?

Our colleagues from Caradisiac were able to glean some information via Motorcycle. The S2 would develop 40 hp and 263 Nm of torque, its maximum speed will be 160 km/h and its weight will be 195 kg.

See you on January 15 to confirm all of this.
