Shōgun wins (almost) everything, Colin Farrell crowned for The Penguin

In the wake of her raid at the Emmy Awards (18 awards), the acclaimed Shōgun won 4 trophies, i.e. all of the categories in which it was nominated, including best drama series. Another success for FX, which once again establishes itself as the studio to follow ahead of HBO.

The series My little reindeer by Netflix collected the (nice) crumbs, and was notably crowned best comedy series. For his part, Colin Farrell saw his performance made up in The Penguin celebrated, while Jeremy Allen White still managed to leave with a statuette despite a disappointing season 3 of The Bear. Jodie Foster also won the fifth Golden Globes of her career, thanks to her role in True Detective.

Emilia Pérez And The Brutalist ready for the Oscars

In terms of films and cinema, the winners were much more diverse. Emilia Pérez (4 prizes) and The Brutalist (3 prizes) nevertheless left the most successful, and position themselves as the big favorites for the next Oscars, notably ahead of the Palme d'Or Anora left empty-handed. While Wicked won the newly created “box office award”, Adrian Brody, Sebastian Stan and Demi Moore walked away with expected trophies for their performances.

But the surprises were there, notably on the Golden Globes for best actress (drama) awarded to Fernanda Torres, to the nose and beard of Angelina Jolie, Kate Winslet and Nicole Kidman. The biggest surprise came from the animation category, where the little nugget Flow was crowned best film ahead of the behemoths Vice-Versa 2, Moana 2 And The Wild Robot.
