CES 2025 – Acer hits hard with its new Swift Go and Swift Go AI laptops

Swift Go 14

Acer Swift Go 14 and Swift Go 16

With the Swift Go 14 and Swift Go 16, Acer first offers to upgrade to Intel Core Ultra processors from the Arrow Lake-H generation, available up to a maximum of 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 2 TB of SSD.

Added to this are 2.8K Oled or IPS Full HD touch screens. Connectivity is then up to date, with wifi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while connectivity remains complete (two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C, two USB-A, one HDMI 2.1 and a microSD reader).

As usual, the autonomy depending on the size chosen: 22:30 for the 14-inch version and 27:30 for the 16-inch. Finally, we note the presence of a 1440p webcam with facial recognition, and also a small fingerprint reader in the touchpad.

Both models will arrive in the second quarter of 2025, with a starting price of €1,249 for the Swift Go 14 and €1,299 for the Swift Go 16.

Swift Go AI 16

Acer Swift Go 14 AI and Swift Go 16 AI

Acer then does a step into the world of ARM with the use of various processors for its Swift Go 14 and 16 AI. Compatible with Copilot+, they are entitled to Microsoft's AI features deployed on Windows 11, but also some designed by Acer to improve video calls (PurifiedView 2.0 and PurifiedVoice 2.0).

In terms of technical data sheets, the brand has made the following choices:

  • Swift Go 14 AI

    • Intel Lunar Lake from Core Ultra 6 to Core Ultra 7, or AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 or 340
    • Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM clocked at 8,448 MH for the Intel version and 7,500 MHz under AMD
    • Up to 2TB SSD
    • 3K or 2K Oled screen, or 2K IPS touchscreen
    • 75 Wh battery for 24.5 hours of video playback on the AMD version, compared to 65 Wh and 22 hours with Intel
  • Swift Go 16 AI

    • AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 or 340
    • Up to 32GB of 8448MHz LPDDR5x RAM
    • Up to 2TB SSD
    • 3K or 2K Oled screen, or 2K IPS touchscreen
    • 75 Wh battery and up to 18 hours of battery life

The Swift Go 14 AI will start at a price of €1,249, compared to €1,299 for the Swift Go 16 AI. The launch period is scheduled for April 2025.

Aspire 14 AI

Acer Aspire 14 AI and Vero 16

The Acer Aspire 14 AI then aims to be the most accessible solution with the presence of Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 (series 2) processors, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, a 14-inch touchscreen or not ( with Oled option) and a 65 W battery. Available from March 2025, its price starts at €999.

Aspire Vero 16

Last of the lot: the Aspire Vero 16. The brand's eco-friendly model, it runs on Intel Core Ultra 7 255H Arrow Lake and up to 32 GB of RAM maximum, and has a 16-inch Full HD IPD panel.

The latter promises the use of recycled or biosourced materials for 70% of its chassis, with plastics from the oceans in its touchpad. Its design is also intended to facilitate repairs, and therefore increase its durability.

Its launch in Europe is expected for the 2nd quarter of 2025, with a price starting at €1,199.
