CES 2025 – Acer: the new Nitro and Predator Helios gaming laptops make no concessions
In addition to models designed for productivity, Acer lifted the veil during CES 2025 on a slew of gaming laptops. The manufacturer has thus updated its entire Nitro range And Predator Heliosfor the greatest pleasure of the players.
Acer Nitro V AI
With the Nitro V AI, available in 14-inch (WQXGA and 165 Hz), 16-inch (WQXGA and 180 Hz) and 17.3-inch (QHD and 165 Hz) LCD screens, Acer opts for the AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 processor. based on the new Zen 5 architecture. The opportunity for these Copilot+ PCs to benefit from better efficiency on the AI side, but also lower consumption lower energy.
We then find an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card compatible with DLSS 3.5, and a maximum of 32 GB of DDR5 SDRAM and 2 TB of SSD. A Nitro V 15 AI is also included with a 15.6-inch 180 Hz FHD screen and an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor. The Nitro V 15 is in the same vein, but with an Intel Core™i7 240H.
The range starts at €1,099 with the Nitro V 14 AI, €849 with the Nitro V15 AI, €1,999 with the Nitro V 15 and €1,299 with the Nitro V 16 AI and V 17 AI. The release schedule extends from January to July 2025.
Acer Predator Helios AI
Acer's Predators logically raise the bar. It starts with a 16-inch QHD+ and 240 Hz OLED screen for the Helios Neo 16S AI model. At maximum capacity, we find Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX, 32 GB of DDR5 6400 MHz RAM, a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and 2 TB of SSD. However, only 6E wifi is included. Available in May 2025, its starting price is €2,399.
The Predator Helios 16 AI is entitled to a similar panel, and an upgrade for the rest of the technical characteristics with, at most:
- Intel Core Ultra 9 275 HX Arrow Lake-HX
- 64 GB DDR6 6400 MHz RAM
- GeForce RTX 5090
- 4 TB SSD
- Wi-Fi 7
- 99 Wh battery
The month of June was chosen for the launch of this model, for a price starting at €2,799.
Finally, Acer goes to a minimum of €3,699 for the Predator Helios 18 AI. Equipped with an 18-inch Ultra HD and 120 Hz Mini-Led screen, it benefits from a maximum configuration consisting of an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, 192 GB of DDR5 6400 MHz RAM, a GeForce RTX 5090 and 6 TB SSD. The launch of this supercharged gaming laptop is scheduled for April 2025.
