This is one of the stars of CES 2025: the Saros Z70 robot vacuum cleaner from Roborock and its articulated arm. But obviously, competitors already seem to be increasing their efforts to offer equally innovative devices.

Among them, Dreame. Roborock's direct competitor has also proposed a robot vacuum cleaner of the future. In the same vein as the Saros Z70, the Dreame deploys an articulated arm from its belly to grab objects in the robot's path.

Obviously, the time has come for whoever comes up with the best robot. Dreame then claims that the arm can lift objects weighing 400 g, compared to 300 g for that of Roborock. The latter defends himself by asserting that the algorithms will be refined over the months to be able to lift more. Dreame counters that three cameras allow the arm to find its way in its environment, compared to only two for that of its competitor.

Above all, the Dreame robot stands out by being able to clean specific areas. In fact, two brushes can be attached to the end of the arm. But strangely enough, it would be up to the user to set it; which seems to be contradictory to the trend of fully autonomous robots.

The device is only a prototype for the moment, while Roborock's should be marketed in early 2025. It will therefore have time to perfect itself with a possible release.
