CES 2025 — JMGO aims for the perfect combo with an ultra short throw, 4K and very bright O2S mini video projector
The O2S is really compact for an ultra short focal length model.
If you dream of an ultra-short throw video projector that doesn't take up space and can be placed a few centimeters from a wall or projection screen, the new O2S Ultra from JMGO could well be a good fit for you. eye. Presented at CES 2025, this mini model is announced as one of the most compact ultra short focal lengths of the moment with its 31 x 29 x 14 cm. It comes directly against the Samsung The Premiere 5 which we have also just seen at the show, at Philips Screeneo UL5 or the Yaber K300S also announced at CES.
An attractive technical sheet in a mini format
With a brightness announced at 2500 ISO lumens, the O2S Ultra promises a bright image, all adorned with a comfortable 4K definition. Despite its compact size, it offers a diagonal of 100 inches with a throw ratio of 0.18:1.
The design may not be its strong point, but its features are solid.
In addition to its smaller dimensions, the O2S Ultra features JMGO's proprietary MALC 3.0 technology, which is said to optimize brightness, contrast, and color accuracy, but we'll be sure to check all of that out in a test. The features now found on any good video projector such as automatic keystone distortion correction and autofocus are also included. Google TV is at the helm inside, so you'll enjoy a host of streaming apps right out of the box.
Although the price has yet to be determined, its compact design and features could well make it a serious contender in the ultra-short throw projector space. JMGO is planning a release in late 2025, but we should find out more at IFA Berlin in September.
