CES 2025 – While waiting for the Nintendo Switch 2, here is the massive Acer Nitro Blaze 11
When writing this news, we had to inform its category. And, we might as well tell you that we hesitated to classify the Acer Nitro Blaze 11 in that of portable consoles as it is often difficult to imagine it moving because it is so impressive. Unveiled as part of CES 2025, this machine, which we will describe as “transportable”, is almost 11 inches. It completes, with the previous Nitro Blaze 7and the other novelty of 2025, the Nitro Blaze 8, the family of portable consoles from Acer.
An Acer machine that impresses
Featuring a 10.95-inch WQXGA (2560 x 1600 pixels) 120 Hz touchscreen at 500 nits, the Acer Nitro Blaze 11 probably won't leave your home much. Weighing just over a kilo (or about two Steam Decks or three Nintendo Switches), the product is even described as a laptop on its official page. It must be said that beyond its two removable controllers which are inevitably reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch, the rest is mainly reminiscent of a PC. Note that the 8.8-inch version at 144 Hz does not have detachable controllers.
A portable computer more than a portable console
Powered by Windows 11, the Acer Nitro Blaze 11 runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS CPU, an AMD Radeon 780M GPU and 10 GB of RAM. NVMe storage of up to 2 TB is there, as well as USB4, USB-C, wifi 6E and even Bluetooth 5.3. Acer is not talking about autonomy, which we imagine to be light with such a screen and such components.
The Acer Nitro Blaze 11 will be available during 2025 starting at $1099.
