When they were released in 2023, we were only slightly convinced by the Shokz OpenFit. We criticized the manufacturer's open true wireless earphones in particular for very imprecise sound quality and some ergonomic issues. Never mind, with the aptly named OpenFit 2, Shokz may have corrected its solution, detailed at the beginning of January at CES 2025.

A mess of promises of improvements

In his communication, Shokz promises “significant improvements in sound quality, comfort and autonomy“. Just that. For sound, the Shokz OpenFit 2 incorporates DirectPitch technology in version 2.0 to reduce sound leakage, including at high volume and in noisy environments. Remember that these headphones are designed to be able to stay up to date of what is happening around you, both in the office and during a running session outside. Hopefully this new version, equipped with 17.3 mm drivers, will correct the sound balance problems. of the first.
