Dexter: Resurrection – Three key characters returning in the sequel to the cult series

While the diffusion of Dexter: Original Sinprequel series Dexterbegan on Paramount+ across the Atlantic (and should begin soon in France on Canal+), the other new spin-off series from the franchise will begin filming this month.

Deadline tells us that three actors already seen alongside Dexter will be there, with clues as to what Dexter: Resurrection could well tell.

Dexter: The Return

Dexter: Resurrection is a sequence of Dexter and especially that of Dexter: New Blooda series broadcast in 2021 in which Dexter Morgan (Hall) appeared to die from a gunshot wound inflicted by his son, Harrison. This is ultimately not the case, as indicated in the trailer for Dexter: Original Sinthe prequel series that chronicles the serial killer's beginnings in the 1990s.

Dexter comes back to life in Dexter: Resurrection and he will find his son, because Jack Alcott (Poker Face) will once again respond to Michael C. Hall in the guise of Harrison Morgan. But he will not be the only figure from Dexter's past to resurface in this new series.

James Remar (Oppenheimer), who played Dexter's father, Harry Morgan, in the parent series, will also be a regular character in Dexter: Resurrection. Harry is long dead in the context of Dexterbut we wouldn't be surprised to see him return once again as a ghost guide and lend assistance to his son as he faces new challenges.

One of these could take the form of an investigation led by Angel Batista. Actor David Zayas (The Bear), who played this character in Dexter And Dexter: New Bloodwill also officiate in Resurrection. Having learned in New Blood that Dexter is still alive and feeling responsible for many of the murders committed in Miami during the time of the original series, it would not be surprising to see Batista attempt to bring Dexter to justice.

Nothing is certain, because no synopsis of Dexter: Resurrection has not yet been communicated, but the return of these three actors indicates that Dexter will not only have to face his Dark Passenger again and the consequences of his actions, but also take stock of his relationship with his offspring.

The series, created and headed by Clyde Phillips (already at the helm of seasons 1 to 4 of Dexter and in command of New Blood And Original Sin), will begin filming this month and will be broadcast on Paramount+ in the United States next summer.
