Via a Bluesky publication this January 7, 2025, Mark Gurman finally provided clarification on the launch period by mentioning the month of April. He also emphasizes that the latter would run under iOS 18.3 as soon as it was released, just like the new iPads.
Information which follows a recent rumor spread by a “reliable informant” of MacRumors around the release of the iPhone SE 4. The latter specifically spoke of a release during the month of January 2025, the usual release period for versions “.3” of iOS.
For him, the launch of Apple's next devices (iPad 11, iPhone SE 4 and potentially iPad Air M3) would not coincide with that of iOS 18.3.
