We put our butts on the Razer cooling and heating gaming chair
As always, CES is an opportunity to discover unusual products, proof of concept presented to obtain maximum feedback from the general public. Customary of the exercise, Razer took advantage of the 2025 edition to unveil Project Ariellea special iteration of its Fujin Pro gaming chair.
After the Freyja project, these haptic feedback cushions released at the end of last year, the snake brand is experimenting with a completely different type of seat with Arielle: a gaming chair with an integrated cooling and warming system. Literally, the chair blows hot and cold through a ventilation system integrated into the hinge of the backrest. Air vents allow air to pass through, while the intensity of the fans, heat distribution and RGB lights (Razer obliges) are controlled by tactile keys located to the right of the seat.
With a thermal ceiling of 30 degrees, suffice to say that the heat is really felt. You don't burn your skin by touching the hinge with your arm, of course, but it's better to have a good reason to activate it to its maximum or you'll end up drenched in sweat. The classic ventilation mode reduces the temperature felt on the chair by 2 to 5 degrees – and at the same time, it's a very pleasant little extra that we would like to have during gaming sessions in the heat of August. . No release horizon has been announced for this gaming chair which remains, for the moment, only a simple prototype.
