Chassis, connections, screen of the HP Envy x360 13-bf0062nf
Openable 360° to transform into a tablet, this versatile 2-in-1 laptop has an appearance that is both elegant and original with its thin and light compact blue design.
Multi-touch touch technology equips the screen and therefore by simply applying at least one finger on it, using pressure/gestures, you can interact with the system and software.
As it is tactile and covered with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass protection, the screen is shiny which reinforces the vividness of the colors but induces sensitivity to reflections in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors).
Those who want to obtain very faithful colors with great black depth and large vertical and horizontal viewing angles will be delighted that the screen adopts DCI-P3 OLED characteristics. The screen also stands out with its 2.8K definition superior to Full HD, suitable for High Definition content, while the 16:10 format displays more information in height than the classic 16:9 format.
An Infrared webcam takes place above the screen, allowing biometric authentication by facial recognition using Windows Hello technology.
Good point for those who want to preserve their privacy, they can hide the webcam behind a shutter when they are not using it.
You can backlight the keys of the chiclet keyboard of course to better distinguish them in a dimly lit environment.
This 2-in-1 Ultrabook integrates good connectivity consisting of 2 USB 4 Type-C Thunderbolt 4, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E ax wireless modules for communicating and connecting remotely, an audio port but also 2 USB 3.0 (USB 2.0 compatible) guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if USB 3.0 devices are included connected.
Note the absence of HDMI video output but it is possible to use an adapter if necessary USB to HDMI Or USB-C to HDMI.
Performance, autonomy of the HP Envy x360 13-bf0062nf
The HP Envy x360 13-bf0062nf may be of interest to those who wish to equip themselves with a thin and light compact laptop PC convertible into a tablet for everyday versatile use.
Easy to transport thanks to its lightness, finesse and compactness, this 2-in-1 Ultrabook will interest nomads as well as those looking for a student laptop because it can last about 8 hours on battery in light use.
To ensure such autonomy, this versatile hybrid ultraportable relies on low-consumption components such as 16 GB of RAM. But also the processor, an Intel Alder Lake-U Core i7-1250U whose TDP of 9W lower than the traditional 15W induces lower performance but better autonomy with a similar configuration.
Still, combined with 16 GB of RAM, the Core i7-1250U in which the Iris Xe graphics module is inserted delivers good performance in everyday use.
It is also suitable for viewing photos and videos but also carrying out multimedia content using RAM and multi-core, such as photo editing or video encoding.
Furthermore, it is possible to play light or even modest games if you make adjustments to obtain good playability. We are thinking in particular of a reduction in screen definition because the 2.8K definition requires more graphics calculations than Full HD, which implies a lower number of fps.
On the storage side we find an SSD which rivals the standard of hard drives in terms of capacity with its 512 GB while being silent, less energy consuming, more robust and much faster.
In practice, thanks to the SSD we benefit from much better responsiveness and fluidity on a daily basis than with a hard drive.
Thanks to the SSD, starts/stops are carried out more quickly, in particular, as are processing and software launches, and you can access online game cards more quickly.
Of course, if 512 GB is too tight, you can use an external storage unit. Opting for a USB 3.0/USB-C/Thunderbolt device then represents an interesting solution to benefit from fast transfers.
