While the Galaxy Unpacked date of the Galaxy S25 was recently confirmed by Samsungthe rumors continue around these future high-end smartphones from the beginning of 2025.

Before taking stock of the latest rumors, an interesting fact should be noted. Qualcomm indeed responded on January 7 on Twitter/X to Samsung regarding the Galaxy Unpacked announcement: “See you there”. This seems to confirm once and for all the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip on the Galaxy S25 range.

The Ultra model then made headlines via Roland Quandt. The journalist from WinFuture precisely shared on Bluesky some interesting details. In terms of wireless charging, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would reach a power of 25 W, and would support the Qi2 standard.

He then claimed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra would gain in finesse compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, 8.2mm instead of 8.6 mm, and that it would lose a few grams, 219 g against 232 g. In terms of display, we would stay on a 120 Hz Amoled panel with a peak brightness at 2,600 cd/m², and not at 3,000 cd/m² as expected.

Finally, the informant mentions the presence of three models: 12/256 GB, 16/512 GB and 16 GB/1 TB. This is in line with a previous information leak mentioning an increased amount of RAM for the variants with the most storage.

Finally, the whistleblower Ice Universe mentioned an improvement in video capture for the Galaxy S25 Ultra in low light conditions compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. According to him, this would be made possible by the gain in power of the new processor. It remains to be seen what this will look like in reality.
