Tesla finally formalizes the Restyled Model Y
The Tesla Model Y Restyled is officially revealed
In December, we asked ourselves: but where is the restyled Tesla Model Y? Tesla has therefore decided that this Friday, January 10, will mark the end of the rumors surrounding this new model, while providing an answer to the question we were asking ourselves. The firm has just launched its model on the Chinese market, thus allowing other countries around the world to see the weight of the overhaul planned by the American firm on this model which was beginning to show a loss of interest in the face of competition from more and more fierce.

New design, new interior, new features
Among the most striking new features, this updated Tesla Model Y offers greater autonomy, a brand new design, a more premium interior and more convincing acoustic comfort. In terms of design, this Tesla Model Y offers a light strip on the front of the vehicle (a bit like the Cybertruck). The rear highlights a “diffuse reflection light” much larger than that offered on the base model. For the colors, several fairly sober choices: white, gray, blue, red, as well as a new dark gray color to replace the raw black. But be careful: these colors could vary for models produced in Berlin, compared to those in China.
The interior of the restyled Tesla Model Y
The interior has also been completely redesigned, taking inspiration from the Model 3 (released in 2023). We also find an 8-inch touch screen at the rear and a round steering wheel, contrary to what various rumors suggested (some expected a steering wheel similar to that of the Cybertruck). On the other hand, note that two types of Model Y have been marketed: a rear-wheel drive version and a long-range version. The Long Autonomy model corresponds to the premium version of the model, with a range of up to 719 km (compared to 593 km for the rear-wheel drive model). In terms of price, it will cost around €34,890 for the propulsion model (i.e. almost €2,000 more compared to the previous model) and €40,190 for the long-range model (i.e. €1,600 more compared to the previous similar model). But these prices are subject to change for Europe, obviously (we expect a 30% increase compared to the Chinese price. It now remains to be determined when the car will become available in Europe.
